the flexplate and dust sheild get removed for the new manual trans ones, but first an oil pan swap and rear main seal

fill it up with fluid and bolt the driveshafts on, woola its beautifull, watch out for how the exhaust fits, I have to trim a flange off one of my cats so it stops rubbing the crossmember support
