After cutting the tonneau cover side rails to length and notching them on the inside to accept a cross bar, I cut a section of Aluminum channel to length to use as the rear rail. I then drilled holes in the rear of the side rails and the ends of the channel. I mounted a stainless screw in the side rail and slid the rear channel over it, securing it with a wing nut. This makes the rear rail easily removed if I have to fit something large in the back of the bronco and prevented me from having to drill any holes into the tailgate. The Aluminum channel was bought at Lowes.
