Notes: |
The truck was my uncles, he had since it was a few years old. It was a 3.8 liter V6 with a three speed OD stick. He always wanted to put a 351C in it but never got around to it. So I asked him one day to sell me the truck, it was sitting there not being driven. So I bought it for a couple hundred bucks and started to build it. Truck has a long way to go, but little by little it is getting there. Motor is in and has about 1 hour of run time on it. Body work is to begin right after Christmas of 09'.
The truck will be a street/strip truck, ya know...... take a ride to the store for something kinda truck!!!!

Maintenance & Modification Logs
Date | Type | Mileage | Title / Description | $ Amount | 05/01/10 | Modification | | Paint had the truck painted this week, I used John Deere Blitz Black. Came out just as I thought, NICE! Now with the re-assembly in the next few weeks. Motor is out and on the stand, re-did the bottom end after a major catastrophe! same specs as listed only difference is a bigger cam, added more lift and higher rpm range. | 0.00 | 02/27/10 | Miscellaneous | 1 | waiting for the snow to melt Well the truck is all together and running minus the suspension upgrades. I want to run the truck to see what is needed for the back end (traction).
Ran the truck up the road a few times, runs strong and pulls like a mule between 5000 and 6800. It still pulls at 6800 rpms but I am not willing (ready) to go over that lol. Just waiting for the friggin snow to melt and get some warmer weather to take it to the track and see what she does.
I also installed the XR1 Borla race mufflers w/ 3" pipe mandrel bent and welded. Sounds really good, no way to really quiet this animal. | 0.00 | Total | 0.00 |
