I have a 2003 CVP. I hear a clicking sound coming from the radio area whenever the key is on or in accessory. The radio and heating controls are all in the off position. I know there are electrically controlled heater duct doors etc. behind dash areas. Anyone know if there is one positioned up high behind the radio area? I only notice this when engine is off and ignition is on. It actually sounds like an hour meter I had installed on my generator! Now I heard newer CVPI's come with factory hour meters, but 2003?

Thanks... yes well that seems to be the only way. I was avoiding this task as my after market radio was a tight fit with the rear cabling.

ford has tsb for temp blend door actauators /Some 2004-2009 Lincoln Town Car vehicles built on or before 8/8/2008 may exhibit a clicking or popping noise from the center of the dash area when the Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) is on, engine running, and even up to several minutes after the vehicle has been shut off. This may be caused by either the Panel/Defrost and/or the Floor Door mode actuators rapidly cycling back and forth during EATC operation. This condition does not affect defroster or heater performance/ makeing noise in key on on duel a/c crown vic very simuler
