So I installed a set of pillar gauges (Autometer Vision series to match OEM gauges) with an EGT, Boost, and Trans Temp.
The Trans Temp doesn't usually get much above 140 and I'm wondering if it is reading correctly. The gauge is calibrated from 140-280, so basically the gauge reads at the bottom of its range.
For those of you that have calibrated gauges installed, what is normal trans temp for you? Where/how did you install the sending unit?
BTW, I don't tow anything, but even at 75+ MPH, the trans doesn't seem to be getting very hot--good news if the gauge is accurate.
