I'm trying to do some research on how long these beasts last. What's your biggest repair and how many miles?

V10
4x4
77K miles.

1 Drive shaft - updated design & worn slip-yoke
Driver's side upper and lower ball-joints
Brake rotors and pads all the way around. (ART rotors)

Now needs a Driver's side front sway bar link, a driver's side speaker (front door) & a steering stabilizer.

So far and excellent trouble free truck. I plan on taking it to 200K.

I bought mine used and it has 90,000 miles on it now. Biggest repair so far was a leaking hose that I fixed myself. You may not be satisfied with a lot of the factory parts like shocks, tires, springs and such. Here's where the beast has been getting into my pocket! But there's nothing else like her, and she's going to also see 200,000+.

Sounds JUST like my story. Bought it used, just turned 90K on Monday. No major problems other than tires, brakes, and shocks...normal stuff. The only problem I am working on is the clunk, and thanks to Gearman and Monsta I will hopefully have that figured out this weekend. I plan on driving it till the doors fall off!! (Even then there's always Duct Tape)

mine only has 68000km on it and its showin me a bit of nickel and dimeing.

The rotors are begining to show warpage and This years cold wx has brought on a case of vacumeus leakuses which I am presently pursuing. But not with much vigor, its a bit chilly this week.

And here's a nice thought, I had a chance to take a wander thru a ditch and onto an old closed beat up over grown road and the X thought it was a picknik ground. I was very impressed with tink's performance under such unusual conditions.

One thing that I have noticed is that the X likes to be pampered constantly.
IE: oiling hinges regularily, cleaning and waxing ect.

Other than that, as long as its treated right, I don't see why it won't last 20 years.

My Bronco lasted 19 and was good for at least 5 more till it got bumped by a 10 ton truck. It went to the arctic, south to utah, and east to spain, germany, france, and switzerland. still had the same starter after 300,000 miles. I expect the X to do the same.

Coming up on 75K on my Powerstroke X in just about 2.5 years. Haven't plugged it in all winter and it's started every time. It's great for any type of road trip!!! I plan on having mine until it's no longer safe to drive which I hope will be for quite a while. Considering how many Ford trucks last for so long, it won't be a challenge for the X to go for 20 years or more.

Brought mine used with 42000 on the clock, now has 62500 on the clock in about 6 months (I seem to always find the long way home driving this rig ). No complaints or repairs yet except for cutting rotors, replaced shocks (preference) and air filter (again preference)... According to others I should get 300,000 out of her as long as I take care of her (dealer told me 5K on the oil changes, I make'em at 3K for my own piece of mind ). Will be buying a work/run around car or else I will have 300,000 before I pay her off
