Posted:4/5/2004 11:31 2000 v10 x 4x4. i have been noticeing more frequeuntly that my x is hunting for a gear between 40-50. it just feel like several bumps in a row like 3-5 bumps and if you go faster it goes away. at 70 loaded it does the same thing, its like its looking for overdrive but never goes into it. if i give the gas it goes into overdrive no problem. this is not while towing either. even empty it does this at 40 -50 all the time. ford dealer said he noticed it but no big deal.
