Has anyone tinted their driver and passenger front windows? I only want to do it if it can be matched perfectly and doesn't cost too much. How long does it generally last?
Thanks. -jb |

Check your state laws...
some states don't allow it on side windows...
stupid... but I understand some people would put limo tint over the already factory tint !!!

Jeff
I got mine done by a local place here in Cincinnati. They charged me $50 for the two front pieces of glass and they matched the back privacy glass pretty well.
Only use galss cleaner that is approved for use on tinted windows as the products with amonia can lighten the tint. You may have seen tinted windows that look purple; that's the amonia working.
The tint will last as long as it is not abused. Use approved cleaners and a soft terry cloth (never paper towels).
I have some photos posted.

MN state law here only allows for 50% tint. Tint is rated based on the percentage of light that is allowed through. 50% tint allows for 50% light through. I put 20% on my driver/passenger side windows (allows 20% light through). I also go the tint with the feature that keeps the heat out too...there are different types of tint to get.
Here are some pics:

I also had 5% limo tint put on top of my factory tint on all of the rear windows so that it is extra dark. The fronts don't match the rears, but that's fine with me because it's offset enough that I don't have a problem with the police pulling me over (yet).
I think I paid around $300 or $350 to get all of the windows tinted. Lots of glass to cover!
