I purchased a 2000 Excursion with PSD about two years ago with 55,000 miles. I absolutely love it. I now have about 91,000 miles on it. About 3000 miles ago it started to develop this vibration between 55 and 65 mph. Since then I have replaced the tires due to the Firestone recall but the problem persists. The vibration seems to be too high for a tire balance issue?? The dealership claimes it could be the transfer case, drive shaft, or rear end and they would be happy to replace each of these on my dime. Has anyone had any experience with this problem?

Drive shaft would be my guess. I had the same thing when I picked up my 2000 X. It would only occur between 50 and 70 mph. The shaft was out of round or something.
