I just got the thing over 90 miles and dropped the rear tranny out. If that was not enough of a headache, after wrestling with the dealer over the warranty for almost 7 days, I pick it up today and the locks will not work with the interior switches. Not just one, none of them will work. I tried the remote and they work sporadically. Could this be a relay? If so, could someone point me in the right direction for the relay number. I pulled out the owners manual and it is for a 2002. Things like this really get to me. Guess it wasn't that great of a deal after all. I just don't think I could stand to hear my wife tell me that.

Thanks in advance for your help. UA

Jeff,
which dealer ????
It's always good to know which one stiffs one of us

I would thinkthey did something... a 2002 should NOT be having lock actuator problems already...
How many miles on the truck ???

Give Payton-Wright a call - they have won my business with the help they've given me....

Good Lcuk !

John,

The dealer is Bankston in Frisco. I should have gone to PW in the first place. Bought my wife her Explorer there and in fact, bought her last two cars there.

The X is a 2001 and has 49K on it. I am taking it in tomorrow for a little extended warranty work. Everytime I take it in, it is a to get it back quick.
