I have an 04 PSD...There seems to be an excessive amount of hesitation when I step on the gas...I know its not supose to accelerate like a gas engine...My son 7.3 F250 does not hesitate at all...He drove it and agree's, there must be something wrong or there is a cure for this...I have installed the superchip, weather its set at performance or stock, still same hesitation...Anyone else have /or had this problem...Help...Thanks

Unfortunately I'm not up to speed on the latest rounds of computer flashes on the new '04s. I would recommend removing the chip and taking it into the dealer so that they can diagnose it. Seeing as how it's an '04, it'll be under warranty. If it's as bad as you say it is, they'll no doubt have plenty of new 6.0L's on the lot that you can test drive to compare the throttle response to.

Good luck and sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. Please post your results if they find out what the problem was!!!

My 04 is the same way. Slow off the line till the turbo kicks in then runs like hell. always is a little scary getting into traffic. Much better once you’re on your moving thou

My '03 does the same thing, but it also blows black smoke. Did you notice an excessive amount of smoke?

Looks like, if you want to take a long trip, you need a mixed box of sensors to take with you lest you get stranded someplace.
