Bill,
Congrats on the new truck. I've stayed mostly stock with my 03 PSD. However, I would consider looking at the Predator programmer, Cat back exhuast, and heads up gauges mounted on the left hand side of the windshield. I would also replace the stock headlights and fogs with APC or Silverstars . Keep in mind a new wiring harness is not a bad idea.
If your planning on doing some towing, I really like my Rapid hit draw bar...One more thing...Huskey floor mats front to back. Aahhh that felt good....I love spending somebody else's money.

Hope that helps
Cheers

Thanks for the info. This is my first oil-burner so I want to go all out. My 00 EX is almost maxed out with goodies or at least without going overboard. I look forward to the new project.

This bumper is great for pushing and it's deer proof...

I was looking into ranchhand for the EX I want to mount a spare on a swing arm like a jeep. As far as the front goes I was looking into the westin bull bar.

Heres the list so far

Inside:
Alpine 901 DVD screen
Alpine CD/MP3 changer
audiovox backup camera
Ma Audio 5x7 speakers
Ma Audio 4ch Amp
Ma Audio 2ch Amp
Selenium Extreme 12" sub
Alarm w/ Remote start

Outside:
Clear corners
APC projector headlights
One peice billet Grille
westin bull guard

And then was thinking of the Banks Big Hoss. What else should I go with under the hood? -Bill

Check out air intakes:

There are other vendors, too, but they list pretty significant gains with their stage II kit. No personal experience with the product.

Thanks Eric, $300+ For a fancy air cleaner sounds goofy I was suckered into one (K&N) on my V-10 and saw no change. In fact the only thing I do is clean the darn thing. The ol' paper was eaiser. Being a different motor concept I would be willing to give it a go with some real world experiences behind it. -Bill

I hear you on that one. This is what makes the diesels so much fun. A computer chip on a gasser wouldn't yield nearly the same results as one does on the diesel...at least those $300 air intake systems are specifically designed for the Powerstroke. The K&N claims can be a bit too "general" at times. For all you know, their dyno results could be from a 289 in a '66 Mustang. The product above on the other hand, is from the same motor that you have.

I'll leave it up to others to chime in. All I have is the K&N panel filter. No seat-of-the-pants difference, but I prefer cleaning (when I remember! ) rather than buying new paper filters all the time. I drive a lot, those paper filters add up! 120,000+ miles and counting...

Have to second the predator (FAST and no speed limiter now!) and turbo back exhaust combo.
did westin bull bar too
check out my gallery here :
http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gallery/displaygallery.php?userid=59556
may have to register over there to get to it though - dunno

has pics and dyno charts with just predator...

didn't do an air filter myself... stock seems to do well for now... and until I have to change it
that's my story and I'm stickin to it

another thing I did was a Hellwig rear sway bar - helped the handling a ton for me...

let's see if I can memeber it all...

piaa 520's on the westin bul bar...
headlight wiring harness upgrade,
piaa 65W headlamp bulb replacements,
65 watt upgraded fog lamps...

55w replacement reverse bulbs and 55w auxillary reverse lamps ...

took the roof rack cross bars off to stop paint scratching...

unhooked my egr plug...

can't remember anythign else at this time....
but I'm sure there are others and more to come
