Hello All,
Here's a question for the guys that pull heavy trailers. Has your Torqshift leaked/ weeped under heavy load. Once I stop pulling the leak stops. I'm not talk a lot of tranny fluid but enough to make the pan wet.
Ford tells me it might be a result of too much fluid and when under load the extra fluid comes out a over flow vent.?!?!
Cheers

sounds like that could be the case, but dealers tend to make things up the first go around, try another dealer and avoid going to AAMCO, they will tear it down and tell you that the figamaroe is not dohicking and the flickermonker is stuck and your going to need 5000 bucks to fix it and when you say no way the bastards will hand you your tranny in a box and say have a nice day!! dont do that, try another dealer, and see what they say and try calling fords help line, and let us know. good luck my friend!
It really is all about size!!!!!! |

I have an idea what may be wrong. My truck brand new, was missing the seal between the transmission and the transfer case. Under load it leaked. Ford replaced it for free.

Good point, We did try that too.....we even tried wrapping that same fitting in teflon tape. Doesn't work, the tape will burn away after a few days.
Thanks for your input.
