I'll be installing satellite radio in my X. I"ll most likely go with the "add on" style to the stock radio and I"m wondering where to mount it.

I need to mount my trailer brake controller on the bottom of the dash between the steering wheel and the center of the dash. I think that is the only open space I have. I'm looking for a "clean" install and not real big on having anything above the top of the dash (i.e. windshield mounts, dash top mounts, etc.)

Pics would be great!

TIA

Lance I mounted my XM Delphi Roady right next to the Dash Power Point so both driver and passenger have equal acess to it without having to reach or stretch over to it
If you require additional pics I can add more to the album.

Thanks for the pic!

1. Do you still have good access to the power point?

2. Is the display "movable"?

3. Did you have to drill the dash?

I still have access to the PowerPoint, the display movable question you'll have to re-phrase to me and no drilling to the dash, the mount that comes with the Roady is a superstrong double face tape.

The receiver head does not vibrate thus distorting the display thanks to a strong mount.

Lemme add some more pics to the album!

Yes I'm a XM fanatic!

Lance,

I mounted mine in the slot left of the AC controls. Is that where your trailer brake is going? If not, you can use a flat mounting plate to mount your SAT. I put in a MyFi which you can take in and out...record on the fly...damn scary putting a remote in our hands! Good Luck!!

Lance an alternative would be is mounting the receiver(dunno which you have) onto a Panavise dash mount bracket.I use one to mount my Nokia Mobile Kit to,would be perfect for a Sat radio receiver.

Allow me to apologize for getting off-subject here ... I'm not interested in the pay-radio gadgetry. However, some of CHP's photos show portions of what may be a very nice dash cover. CHP, can you tell me anything about it? I'll drop you an e-mail so that discussion won't eat up this thread. TIA
