I just bought a 2003 Excursion Limited, V10 4 wheel drive and I love it. Was the best move I made in buying a SUV.

Question.....My door agar light stays on and when you shut of the motor the running board lights stay on and the inside light stays on for 30 minutes. How can I fix this, I have a felling its the rear door/hatch.

Thanks
Todd

Welcome to the fold!

Do a search for door ajar switchws/lights, and you'll find this is a common problem with various solutions. You can start by flooding the suspected switches with WD40 (Water Displacement formula #40). That works for most folks ... for awhile. I eventually replaced all of my switches, which is not too awful difficult, but it is tedious. I just couldn't see paying a dealer the fee they wanted to do it.

I had this problem on my last x and squirted a lot of wd40 directly into the door latch (the part on the side of the door that hooks on to the bracket on the side of the door jamb. (hope this describes it ok) then I opened and shut the door a few times and it worked fine.
