I have a 2001 Excursion V 10, My seat belt minder chime, key-in-ignition chime, headlamp on warning chime, running board lights & panel dimmer control quit working the interior lamps. The interior lamps do not come on when the door is open. Everything was working fine a couple of days ago then all of a sudden they stopped working. As far as the interior lights go they work when you flip the switch at the light but not the panel dimmer switch. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ron |

Have you checked the fuse under the dashboard? I think it's number 14, but double-check your manual. You may also find that your electric windows no longer operate, too.
BTW, welcome to the forum!

If your fuses are OK I'm willing to bet the relays are OK too. Take a look in the manual and try to determine how the fail functions are grouped electrically. If they are all on the same relay then, mayber the relay is bad. But if they are across a bunch on relays/fuse maybe one of the ground wires for one of the battery has disconnected. Just a thought.
Good luck. |

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? My 2001 excusrion is doing the exact same thing.
I checked the relay and the fuse -- both are good. If I take the cover off the relay, and "connect" the circuit by pushing in on the copper connector, all the lights come on, so it seems the relay is NOT getting engaged by whatever is supposed to trigger it.
Any ideas? |

Yeah, I started pulling all of the fuses, all were good but when I put one back in everything started to work again. I think it was a 5amp fuse. Go figure |
