Thanks your is great looking also. The Install went pretty fustrating at first. I read and study all the information that I read on this site and two other sites I frequently vist. (but this site is better )

Anyway it all started with another set of TT mirrors that I bought from a ford dealership. It came with the adapter plugin for my truck since the connectors change in what 03? I took them off because 2 weeks later I bought my TT mirrors with the LED's on ebay. There other TT mirrors are in the box collecting dust.

It was suppose to be a 1 hour or so job into a 6 hour job. The problem was trying to find the right wiring behind the fuse panel. And trying to fine the blinkers was another chore. I follow the instructions over at the thedieselstop.com article. (Very helpful.) Bought all the nessary color wiring and other things that I needed.

The power mirrors and heat were plug-n-play since this truck came with it. But it did not had the blinkers or the clearance lights. So what I did on both side of the truck, I cut 2 wire from the adapter plug, add some wire connectors and ran the left side of the wirings into the door rubber boot anf from there into the firewall and tap into the left front blinker and the parking lights. The right side was done in 20 mins since I knew what to do. I did the same thing as the left side.

The power mirrors and heat were plug-n-play with the adapter, I cut 2 wires from the adapter for the blinker and clearance lights, add some connectors and ran the wires into the rubber boot on the doors into the cab and ran it next to the hole that the antenna ran into, into the engine compartment and tap into the blinkers and parking lights. everything works, no smoke, no blown fuse. Who said you need a relay. lol I'm going almost a year with this way. If I was to do this way from the begining. I would probably did it in a hour. Would I do it again.... yup

Thanks for the comeback there Caddy

I'm glad to know the install went well even tho it took longer then anticipated but you have full mirrors now

No worries about posting up a thorough reply as it's the details of one's experience that helps the next Excursion/truck owner down the line that would like to do the mirror swap/upgrade also

I'm as I type writing up an article on a taillight conversion going from the standard Red tails to the three color with independent Amber turn signals

Here's a current THREAD on the subject that Doug started a couple days ago

Stay tuned for the How-to article to be released hopefully this week/end
