Can someone recommend a good greaseable u-joint for the rear driveshaft of my 2003 V-10 Excursion. Maybe something better than the standard issue from Advance Auto, etc.

Brand, Source and Price?

I wouldn't hesitate to go with u-joints from auto parts stores, however. My offroad buddies inform me that they shy away from greasable u-joints noawadays because they are actually weaker due to the grease zerk.

If you really need a stronger u-joint, then you'll want to go with 1350's (1-ton ujoints). This will however require your driveshaft to be reworked to accept the 1-3/16" diameter ujoint cap. 1330's (3/4-ton ujoints) are a 1-1/16" diameter cap. (This is all of course assuming that the Excursions come with 1330's since they are a 3/4-ton suspension. I have not personally verified this.)

You'll spend anywhere from $20-30 for a quality ujoint.

Thanks for the info. My current u-joints are 1-3/16 inch diameter caps.
