OK. I have a 28' Airstream that weighs about 7800lbs dry, so wet I'm probably pushing 8500lbs and tounge weight of 950ish...

I put her on the back of my excursion, using a Equal-i-Zer hitch (WD and Sway control all in one) and she squated the rear down pretty good. I adjusted by WD bars and rasied the shack, so my squat is minimized, with about 1/2 in the front and 1&1/2 in the back. This is the best I could do.

So, I'm thinking I need to get a little rear end help... I thinking add a leaf / helper springs / air lift bags /etc.

I figure I need to raise the rear about 1&1/2 to 2 inches max for towing.

Anyone have any recomendations?

(I've aready changed to Rancho 9000s all around, dialed in a 7 when I tow with tires at 75 psi, and installed the Hellwig rear sway bar).

Thanks

Kevin

Same problem (see my signature),

added a leafspring, (rancho add a leaf). Added about 1.5 inches, 500 lbs of tow capacity and now with my tongue weight of 950lbs, I am level.

Very easy, quick, no hassle.
