I noticed when I bought the Excursion back in June that the cassette player didn't work. The truck was used, with 11K miles. It has a bumper-to-bumper to 36K, so I didn't sweat it.

Today, I brought the truck in for an oil change, cabin filter and asked them to pull the radio and repair it (under warranty).

He came out to the waiting room with a sh@t-eating grin and my radio in his hands.

What? I said.

He turned it upside down and out poured about two dollars worth of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. "Kids do this all the time, they feed them into the CD or cassette slot."

Once we emptied it, it worked just fine. Cost me $90 for an hour's labor.

Gotta thank the kids for the toll change fund

If they told you the Excursion has an OEM cabin air filter they saw you comin'

My 11 year old kept trying to tell me how lucky I was to have found two dollars. I kept explaining that I was MINUS EIGHTY EIGHT but she likes her side of the story better!

Since starting a family 26 years ago , I haven't owned a truck that didn't jingle when I turned a corner or a harsh bump!!!
