Last weekend all the suddenn I notice my "door ajar" light in the cluster is on while driving. When I get there I can't lock the truck with the remote. Try manually cant do that either. Other items I notice as the week went on that the function that allows the radio to stay on after the key is off but only until a door is open now wont turn off the radio when the door is open, it just stays on. Also, I get no dome lights with door open in this state. I suspect the "body control module". Any input? As an FYI, it was ok for a few days this past week and is now back to the same today,

only thing I can comment on is check the back hatch door
I have a 2000 and a few times I noticed the door ajar light on.
and this was right after shutting te back hatch.
after re-closing it the light went off.

I cannot comment on the locks not working since i noticed the light right away.

also, i do know that if the doors are left on for a long period of time thwy will automatically shut the dome lights off. this may be the case of why yours is not working

I had the exact problem with my 03. Get yourself some WD-40 and lube all the door locks and it will magically go away.
