We also have a 2002 and haven't found any cons but pros is the rock solid engine and roominess

Rear anti-sway bar! I use a Prodigy brake controller, the thing is bullet proof. Definately air bags or Timbren Load Boosters (thats what I use). You will feel 'squishy' in the rearend without them.
