Does anyone know if you can reprogram the locks so that when you put it in park all the doors unlock?
Thanks!

I didn't know that option was available ... and I'm fairly certain I would not want that feature on mine ... for both safety and security issues.
What's wrong? Is pushing the button on your driver's door too much of an effort? Or are you a passenger who wishes to exit as soon as the vehicle is parked? (hee-hee)
I know, I know ... and I'm sorry that I could not answer your question ... just couldn't resist making some wisecracks. I hope someone provides one for you. Good luck! |

I think the silence on your request is an indicator that this can not be done. The Ex never had a feature like that, so you would have to custom build something.

Morph it with a Suburban...they do that.
I, personally, do not like the feature in my wife's Avalanche. I do not think it is a safe thing but luckily I live in a low crime area.

If it's the same as an '05 F350, you can set it up so that the locks don't automatically engage when you take off, eliminating the need to unlock when you stop. A guy that works for me just went through the same frustration when he bought his truck. If this is news to you, let me know and I'll get the sequence from him. |

I have a 2000 and it does not auto lock, wish it did.
Do you have an aftermarket remote start or alarm system?

IT IS ??? Coulda' fooled me. The way your initial post was worded, I thought you were looking for the doors to automatically unlock when you put the gear selector in the "park" position. It didn't sound like you were looking to have the doors REMAIN unlocked after entering and driving your vehicle. |

Ha I agree! I don't live in a high crime area but my bosses 12 year old son figured out the code to unlock the driver door, all doors, then lock all doors in less than 3 minutes. I was like great this real good with all the stuff I have in my truck!
Oh by the way since my location where I live is on the left dont get any ideas! I live in a hick back woods area and I do have guns especially shot guns! LOL!
I trust everyone on here are good people but since it is the web anything is possible.
