I just re-dyed my daughter's steering wheel on her 2000 Explorer. I also touch up a seam area on on one of of my seats with the dye. There is a compnay called Leatherworld. You can order your interior color by code. I know many 2000 models had the steering wheel just turn black--this is a cheap good looking option.

Thanks for the tip. My steering wheel color has worn away considerably. I was thinking of going with the wood grain trim for the steering wheel. We'll see!
