Well, not to be cheap, but I just put new Dueler Revo tires on the Excursion, I am about to change out the upper and lower ball joints. I need to replace my rotors soon, and I have read the forum, and the budget is kind of tight at the moment. Everyone suggests going with the ART rotors. But, I was wondering if there is another brand that is decent and a little easier on the old pocket book? I figured while the front ball joints are being replaced, I might as well do the rotors and pads as well on the front. Anyone ever used any of the rotors offered from Summitracing.com on their Excursion?

They also have Iron ones and ones that aren't slotted that are even less money. Any thoughts/feedback?

Try the SP Performance brand or just buy the Performance Friction 2-piece fronts from the same website. Then make sure you replace the caliper pins with the newest revision from Ford - 2C3Z2C150AA. Here's how to tell what you have and what you need...

While you are at it, hone out the holes the pins slide through with a drill, wood dowel with emery cloth. It needs to be shiny and smoothe in there so the pins move freely.

The 2-piece 'floating' rotor will eliminate any pedal pulsation. Try the Porterfield carbon-kevlar pads. They are aggressive, but wont eat your rotors - also shed heat like crazy (no fade after repeated hard stops) and are low dust.
