While heading north to Canada (we've got 4 mining operations in central Ontario) for work this past week the V10 started missing, not bad at first, but it got progressively worse. Turned out that the #8 coil was going bad. I had it and the plug replaced at a Canadian (Crappy) Tire Sunday night before heading further north into Central Ontario. The missing returned about 15 minutes after I headed out (they were closed then) so I ended up going to 2 different shops in a small town Monday morning before the problem was solved. Turns out the replacement coil was also bad, but it ultimately cost me just shy of $1,100 between the 3 shops
Truck ran fine the rest of the week until Friday morning when I came out of the hotel to find 6 inches of snow on the ground and ALL FOUR TIRES SLASHED
Four new tires and $1,000 later I was back on the road. Again, a small central Ontario town where I had two choices, a Cooper brand POS or my rims. That shop did a horrible job balancing the tires so now I probably need to go to the dentist to have my teeth checked due to them nearly being shaken out of my head during the drive home!!!
Not A Good Week! |
