I hope someone from Factory Tech see's this post!
I purchased a Factory Tech Valve Body back in June of this year and it hasn't been right since I installed it, real harsh upshift! I've made at least four attemps in getting someone at Factory tech to contact me with a resolution and all have failed up till now.
I've called a couple of times 1st call a woman answered and said Mr. Evans was un-available and would return my call that was in Early July, I called again in late July and a gentleman answered the phone and said " don't worry it won't harm your transmission and Gregg will contact you when he has a replacement , it shouldn't be more than a week or two. I called back in August and spoke with a diffrent man and he said we're a bit behind but by September 1st we should be able to contact you about a replacement. I've sent two e-mails and still no return e-mails, I called again today and got switched to an automated phone messaging center, left a message again!
So can anyone tell me if this "Fly by Night" operation is still in business? I think I've been very patient, but it's very frustrating!
If anyone has any contact info please let me know
Thanks |

I bought the BTS VB and unfortunately my trans was an 01 with the diode. Asked Brian if he had any other recommendations and he said he didn't. IOW he didn't even try sell me his torque converter. Well, my trans locked up and I got a new one from him. Guess what, he even gave me credit for a trans that had burnt fluid circulating around, not to mention the debris. Is there any way you can get your money back?

Hi
Well I guess there still in business, I recieved a call shortly after I made this post, the gentleman that I spoke with was very apologetic, he said they recieved my calls and e-mails, and I just fell through the cracks. He went onto say he would be sending out one overnight, should have it on Monday, or Tuesday at the lateset.
Well I hope that is the case, really tired of the hard upshifts, hopefully the next one will be exactly what I need.

Jay,
Out of curiosity, did they speculate what the problem might be? I occassionally have a hard 1-2 shift, but all other upshifts are nice a crisp. The fact that it's occassional is what throws me off, so I'm not sure if I have a larger issue at hand with the transmission. The valve body is really only a set of different springs that control the shift firmness, so since it's mechanical, I'm not sure how mine would be an intermittent issue.
Who ended up calling you back? This is very important to me as we partner with them on providing discounts of their products to our members and I want everyone to have a great experience. Please let me know how they continue to handle your situation and if you have better luck with the replacement.

I'm sorry I didn't catch the man's name, he called late, nearly 10pm, I was half asleep, lol
He thought that one of the internal springs were to stiff, causing the harsh shift, I'll keep you posted
