I have a 2001 Ex PSD. Lately the door light stays on (and I checked that all the doors are shut) I cannot find any manual switches in the door jams. I figured there have to be magnetic ones or something. Anyone has any ideas what to do? That light drives me nuts... Thank you. |

Hi
I went through this same thing three years ago, a Ford Technical trainer showed me the fix. The switches are part of each door latch.
Open the door and take a aerosol can of white lithium greese with a long thin nozzle, insert in down inside the latch spray a liberal amount down iside, open and close the door a few times then with it closed the light should go out, if not move onto the next door and repeat. You'll know which one was the culprit when the lights go out. Lube all the door latches including the rear hatch and half doors on a regular basis and it will keep the interior lights working properly. I do this twice a year and haven't had the issue with the lights since I was shown the trick. |

Thank you all for the fast response. I will go to the store today and get the silicone spray. I will let you know how it went. |
