A bunch of us X owners have planned a meet in Gatlinburg, TN the weekend of July 25th - 27th. We'd like to invite as many X owners (and well, SD owners are invited too) and have a parade of Excursions ride thru Gatlinburg.
It'll be lots of fun...
We've selected Twin Creek RV Resort as our 'Official Campground'. Their number is 1-800-252-8077 - when calling tell them you are with the Ford Truck group and they'll keeps us all together.
- Good Sam's members get a 10% discount
- Thier rates are $44 per night for 2 people, kids over 6 are $4 per night extra.
- They have cabins available (no smoking allowed and no pets in the cabins - 6 night minimum)
- Your deposit is based on length of stay 3-4 nights is $100, 5-7 nights $150. If cancellation is necessary as long as more than 10 days prior to arrival you would get all but $10 back. Within 10 days you would forfeit full deposit.
- Pet restrictions include - no dangerous breeds, 2 dog limit and no dogs in 'canvas sided' campers
We have not chosen a hotel yet, but we have people looking.
We are planning some events to include a huge cookout. We are also planning some comemerative t-shirts and we've got some vendors to kick in some branded goodies.

FWIW, a few owners have asked me to attend this gathering. If I go, I will definitely have some uninstalled radius-rods for display (plus the ones mounted beneath my X).
Anyone else going? My plans are still kind of iffy because I'm scheduled to leave the following weekend for a week-long motorcycle ride up, through, and around Maine. |

Dude - we'd be happy for you come. I'd like to see your product up close, plus, I just like to meet other X owners and have some good conversations.

Eh all we are going to be camping in cherokee N.C. not to far from this event., was wondering if any of you that are going ,are going to be there before the 25th . we are heading back home on the 25th. maybe we can stop in before the 25th, if there are some of you ex . fans there. if not have a great time . |

Of course I will be there - arriving on the 24th.
There is a little Meet & Greet planned for Fri evening around 7:30. A lot of folks are planning on going to Dollywood on Friday moring/afternoon and others will just be arriving.
Just FYI, Twin Creek does charge a 'day use fee' of a few bucks, but you are definately welcome to stop by and meet everyone.

I plan to arrive Friday afternoon, and will stay at some local hotel. Thanks for the heads-up on the 7:30PM Friday "meet 'n greet" ... I'll make certain to be there.
I don't plan on staying around long, and may head back home late Saturday afternoon ... but circumstances could delay my departure until Sunday. Will play that part by ear.
Look for a red '05 EB with Virginia vanity plates which say (what else?) LAND YOT
I'll leave my cell phone number on the truck if I'm walking about.

Cool, we'll be glad to see there.
If you can PM me your name and the names of any others in your party (spouce, children) and you engine (v10 or PSD), I will get you on the list and we'll have a name tag for you
Also, if you're planning on showing off your product, let me know what you may need (table, etc) and we'll do our best to accomodate you.

Mark - I appreciate the offer for a table, but I can bring one ... plus some chairs ... possibly a cooler with some refreshments to share, too. Do you know if they have WiFi at the campground? |

 Hi mark, My name is rob and I'm new to this forum. In the past I just came to this sight to get info on my excursion. But when I saw the thread about gatlinburg I just had to join and drop you a line. I just happened to have a family vacation planed at twin creek starting on the 26th.So maybe I can stop in and say hi.
