2000 X, 5.4, 130K Miles. The front sway bar appears to have moved to the left about .375". The area that has been rubbed bare by the bushings is exposed by that amount. Whats the deal? Should I be concerned?

It sounds like your bushings are worn out. You should replace them.

If you want to improve the handling, you can replace the front sway bar with a hellwig. I replaced mine at the same time I added the hellwig rear sway bard and a new set of billsteins. It made a really nice difference in the handling.

How do you know the front Hellwig made any difference since you did all that at the same time? ;)

Work bushings may or may not cause the swaybar to shift but a bent or worn end link certainly will.

It looks like the end links are indeed bent. I can get the bushings at J.C. Whitney, but where should I get the end links?

Question is, how in the hell did those things get bent??

Is the sway bar not "working" as designed? Is it making undue noise? You may just wanna leave it alone if you don't think that it was damaged.

Can you shift it left and right with your hand? If so, the the end links should be replaced and they are a Dealer only item.

I always noticed wear marks from my front sway bar on my 00 but knew for a fact it wasn't bent and the bushings were okay. So I just left it alone. Wear marks like that are normal due to the articulation...but I haven't seen what yours looks like.
