Hey friends... I finally mounted the OEM SD 20's. I love the look, and the handling and ride are much improved!! Within a few weeks I'll install the LANDYOT RR's... I think I'll be the first to have RAS & RR!!! Talk about overkill... no, just my OCD kicking in!!!

I should admit that I stole his idea. I saw them mocked up on his truck and knew that those were the wheels for me. I'm a copy-cat. meow.

What kind of spacers are you using?

I bought mine for Fred Goeske at wheeladapters.com.

They are 2" hub-centric spacers.

It should be noted that there are cheaper alternatives to running these OE wheels...unless you get a great deal on them...the cost of the spacers can make most think of other options. I really liked the wheel and prefer the mixed OEM look. I spent close to $250 a wheel (w/o tires) when all was said and done. (shipping, too) But I'm happy with the look.

I don't know the brand or supplier, but I do recall someone saying they cost about $1K for a set of four. Please note my that memory on this issue may likely be wrong.

I have also seen 2" hubcentric spacers for the '05-'08 SuperDuty trucks listed on eBay, and I think they were selling for around $140 per pair. If you go look on eBay, you will also find a bunch of 'em that aren't hubcentric, so be careful before spending the big bucks.

EDIT TO ADD: I keep telling myself, "I don't need those! I don't need those!" But dang if I don't want 'em. They look great on the X.

Bob - I saw a thread on another forum about the OBX ... said you were down there a week or so ago. If you took I-64, then you passed with 4 miles of my place. And if you took I-664 over/through the Monitor-Merrimac bridge-tunnel, then you may have seen 3 aircraft carriers sitting at our shipyard.

Hey Ken... We travel to and from OBX via 476 to 95 to 13 over the Ches Bay Bridge/Tunnel to 13 again, then Del SR1 to 13 again to 168 to 158 and over the Wright Brothers Bridge... Whew... got it?

My boys would have loved to see the Navy ships.... when we crossed the Ches Bay Bridge ("Modern Marvel"on the History Channel did a great show on how the bridge.tunnel was built... both sides too) the boys loved seeing the huge freight ships. I think the next time we go we'll take the route past the ship yards to talked about.

BTW.... I've yet to install the RRs... with school being out now, I'm hoping to get them on... with my sons getting older, I seem to have alot less time to mod the X. Soon!!!

Next time down, take I-64 west to Hampton, then get on I-664 south ... which will take you around to 168 (I-64 & I-664 make up the "loop" around Tidewater). It's a longer way around, but much more scenic. You will cross both the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT) and the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial BT going the long way 'round.

FWIW, the History Channel has done a few Modern Marvel episodes at our yard.
