Get out your manual and find the fuel cutoff button. This inertia switch trips during a hard deceleration event (crash, etc) This cuts off the fuel supply.
Usually you just push it back in. I cannot recall exactly but I think it is behind the kick panel on the passenger side wall (right side).

Thanks Monsta Tried that on the side of the road, Ford said that the wiring to number 5 and 6 coil was shorted out and that caused the ecm to short out the fuse. They repaired the wiring and install new fuse all is good now. |

I have 01 Ex w/7.3. Bought new, best vehicle I've ever owned. Lately if I don't drive for two or three days it is totally dead. No lights, won't unlock, zero power. Batteries are fairly new and check out good. I replaced alternator and starter recently but didn't help. I have 107K on the clock. Anyone have any ideas? |

If it were me, I'd have the dealer run a diagnostics check of the GEM (General Electronic Module). The GEM in my '01 V10 Ltd went bad & was replaced. BTW, if you get a new GEM, don't forget to get your key fobs reprogrammed AND have them give you the new access code. |
