--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 03 Eddie Bauer Ex that I recently bought. I pulled the overhead console to repair the computer. It took a week or so to put it all back together.
Before I pulled the console both rear vent windows worked. Now that its all back together the passsenger side rear vent window doesnt work now. I am thinking I must have damaged the connector or the swith while it sat on my dinner table somehow. Or maybe I dont have it connected right. I have pulled it twice to reseat connectors to no avail. Based on it working before, I do not believe the motor is the problem.
Anyone have any recommendations on ways to test the switch/connector or even the motor? Or a wiring diagram that I can use to try to figure it out?Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Just a quick idea to try is to make sure that one of the rear windows are not stuck close. If I leave mine closed up for any length of time, the glass will stick to the rubber. This happens more often when it's been raining.

If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out.

I would agree with Bill. My rear vent windows stick all the time. Try pressing close then open if that doesn't work, a quick smak near the moter with the flat of your hand often frees it,
I would try that before you open the console again.

With the heat here in Houston, I simply open them every time I get in the rig... I've had them stick before, depends on the weather most of the time...
Basically, use it or lose it...

Un-plug wires from motor, hook multi-meter to wires, have friend push switch and see if you have power. No power? use multi meter to test at back side of switch, no power? test infront of switch. You can check switch using small wire clips and 12v cordless battery while out of the vehicle as well. Power at motor? motor bad |
