Does anyone know how to remove the overhead console in an 05 Excursion. My compass/fuel milage unit went dead and I don't want to break anything when i go to replace it. Any pictures would be nice as well.
It's been a few years since I replaced the overhead in the dually. Recall carefully prying down on it until the part towards the windshield popped lose. There are just mounting tabs if I remember right.
Gotta do it to the X now as recently that one went out to.
There's a seller on Ebay who rebuilds them and updates them for a lot less than Ford charges for a new one.
The one I replaced a few years ago was $150 on Ebay. Ford sells them for $300. The repair from Ebay is under $50.
