We've had a 2003 V10 Ex for almost four years now. We only use it for towing our 30 footer TT about 5k per year. Without a doubt this is an awesome truck. It mostly has no trouble towing TT and car full of people (wife, 3 kids and two 100# goldies). But there are times I wish it had a little more for those big hills.

I've been thinking about changing the rear end to 4.3. This is not something I can do myself. How much should I expect to pay for this? Does the dealer do this or do I need to find a local mechanic to do it?

Thanks,
Fred

I took mine to the dealer to have the rear end rebuilt and the cost was about $1500.00
