I know this is for Excursions? I found a left over 2003 7.3, 2wheel drive with all the options that I like for around MSRP 36K. She like driving it but she hated the color.....but we went for a test drive and took it on the highway and got up to speed around 65 mph and I told her to gas it and try to pass a car. She had the pedel all the way down to the floor and it would not down shift. I had this same problem on a Dodge Ram I took for a drive...dont tell the wife. Is this what they call turbo lag? I drive the V10 and when I hit the pedel at 65 and try to pass, it down shifts and the way you go. Is this standard for all diesels?

"Stock" diesel are dogs on passing and then some, however if you get the vehicle, for 400.00 more, you can get a superchips max tuner and have fun passing most things on the road. Keep in mind that you are having to open a second spending account for more spending money for more toys |

Ehumaui, I don't think it's the diesel. I think there is a TSB on the pedal assembly for the X and the 250/350s. They have been having problems with the electrical part of their 'fly-by-wire' pedal assembly. When you floor anything, it should downshift.
