'68 Camaro that came into my shop for repairs. It's pretty, but it's not restored. It's just a decent street rod. The guy just bought it for $25K and the clutch pedal didn't work.
The engine is a basic 350 with chrome & powder; trans is a 5-sp w/aftermarket shifter; rear is a built 14-bolt w/disks; front subframe is wrong (probably for a 6-cyl) so the engine mounts don't fit & the engine is ~2" too far back (which is why the equalizer ball broke off the block); the rear wheels need ~1/2" spacers to keep them from rubbing the body & the rims from rubbing the shock brackets; the RHF tire rubs the body; the RHF sway bar bracket was ripped off the subframe & bent; the carb is a used Edelbrock and it's not adjusted correctly; the R header gasket was leaking, but we fixed that;the LHR e-brake cable rubs the rim, and the RHR is too short; the slip-on hose braid is cheesy; the RHF headlight doesn't work, and neither does the LHF parking light (socket is damaged); & the rear diff is ~1" to the R of center, so the d'shaft runs to the side.
But it runs OK & sounds great, so it's a hot rod.
It'll definitely be back.
