I used to daily drive this car in high school so it has a ton of sentimental value to me.

My little jig to emboss. I tried to use the vice to press it, but got nothing. A hammer worked fine.

One gasket shim embossed. I'll stack three shims to make one full gasket. I'll go: embossed, flat, embossed.

New power steering lines going to the gear. Routed them along the bottom of the fan shroud with double hose cushion clamps.

With the pump in I could finalize the alternator mount. The final belt length was 0.5" longer than stock.

Clutch cable sitting in the modified mount bracket. It is not going anywhere. The bend looks tight but it is less than the loop it makes at the front of the engine.

The two headlight cars look menacing from the front. Way better than your grandfathers four headlight wagon.

All fits under the stock hood! I've painted it since this pic.

See the custom wire separators I made? Keep the wires out of the headers. Also see the MSD 6A and BTM. No more paint on the headers.

Drivers side header, almost done fabricating. You can see the oil supply for the turbos and I haven't yet made the sparkplug wire separators. I'm also still using the Duraspark ignition here.

Fabbing the box. I haven't drilled the holes for the throttle cable, the transmission cable, the vacuum lines, or even the boost tubes.

Oval exhaust tips. I liked these when I made them but I'm not happy with the side exhaust anymore. I lose ground clearance and they get pretty hot. I'll be making rear exhaust pipes at some point.

One very complicated box it took three cardboard versions to get it right. Only about a day to make it though. It has exploded three times. I tried running a little lean and boom. I run richer now and I don't grind the welds as thin.

Passenger side header. I think I'm done fabricating the pipes and this is a final mock-up to double check everything. The pipes are all painted but the wires etc aren't routed so I haven't run it yet.

I bought a Tremec TKO II from a guy on Fordnatics. It was at Liberty Gear getting rebuilt so I know it's ready to go right out of the box. I can't wait to drive her again.

10/01/00Fuel New gas tank
So my dad borrowed my gas cap for a few months. When I went to start the car the carb filled up with water and rust. I took out the tank to get it cleaned but it was to thin and had a bunch of holes. Mostly because this is not the first time it had to be cleaned. So I bought a new tank from work to replace the old. I'm still going to use the same -8 fuel system that the old one used but I need to reroute the fuel line on the engine as they are getting to hot and I'm getting vapor lock.
