Hello everyone, new to the forum, I have a suspension question...I recently purchased an '05 Grand Marquis GS due to my wife's medical condition, the Merc is far easier for her to get into. We really like the car, but the "floaty" handling is scaring her (the car seems to be all over the road). My previous car handled really well, it was just much smaller. Are there "performance" suspension kits available, or do you have any other suggestions to make the car seem to handle better? Shocks, anti-roll bars? Limited slip differential? I appreciate any help you can offer? |

Your car most likely does not have a rear swaybar, you can pick one up off any police car from 1992-2011. You can also get the front swaybar off any 2003-2011 police car(or the Marauder or HPP cars but it's easier to find a police car), work best when paired together.
You can also use the shocks designed for a 2003-2011 CV police car, it's all interchangeable.
Anything "police spec" will be a bit firmer, you can pair your stock springs with police shocks or get "police spec" everything. |
