Does anyone know the voltage from the EATC to the blend door actuator in a 2000 crown vic LX?
Mine reads 5 volts from the EATC, but not sure that's enough to engage the actuator and I can't find a schematic anywhere showing proper voltage. So far I have my actuator removed and just make a jerk on the steering wheel to move the blend door to where I need it. I know that sounds crazy but desperate times call for desperate measures! I've already replaced the actuator and that only fixed the problem for a short time. Tried plugging in another new actuator but that didn't fix it either. Tried another EATC from the salvage yard and that didn't change anything either. I'm running out of options and don't want to get pulled over for erratic driving!
In my experience, in my 2004 lx, I had two issues with the a/c and neither were related to the actuators or blend air door.
For a time, air only blew through the defroster, after trial and error I finally solved the issue with a $3.00 package of o rings. The O rings on the valves inside the eatc go over time.
I also had an issue with little or no airflow. This was caused by the blower motor resistor.
