Hello all...
I noticed that my truck has a strange buzzing noise coming from under the hood near the driver. I figured it was some sort of pump when I bought the thing so the sound was ignored. Aside from the noise I have a wierd problem with having my lights on and not being able to use my right blinker... The light turns on but doesn't blink. If I turn the lights off the blinker works fine. I also have intermitant issues with the cruise control when the lights are on. Finally I noticed something today as I went off to work. The noise I hear under the hood increases as I turn things on! I turned on my rear defrost and it noticably increased the noise it was making and would decrease when I turned it off. Has anyone had this type of issue? Is there some sort of regulator that might be bad? Thanks in advance for any and all help I can get on this matter.

josh the problem with your lights and blikers is very likely a bad ground connection at the one that is not working properly. I am sorry to say it , but this is a common problem with fords. it would be a good idea to clean all the ground connections for your lights and put something on them to give them a protective coat. as far as the "buzzing, that sounds like a voltage regulator or relay. just follow the noise....good luck |

I am having major grounding problems too, what I need is to know where all of the grounding points are under the dash. I have re-done all of the grounds under the hood that I could find, but beyond that I am just wanting a little more info before I dive under the dash. Thanks in advance.
