Hello, I am new to the forum thing. Ive never tried getting info from one of these kind of things, so here goes. I have a 96 f150. Ive owned the truck since new and it is "bone stock". It has a 4.9 6cyl. It has two tanks with the tank selector switch in the dash. The truck has been "acting up" on the front tank for a while, so I just stopped using the front tank. At first, It was stumbling badly when I would crank it on the front tank, and it would eventually smooth out, then it got to where it would stumble and not "smooth out" and go dead. I could start it on the rear tank and switch it to the front tank and it would run fine. Then last week, I filled the rear tank and after about 50 miles the gauge said the rear tank was empty. I flipped the switch to the front and it was full. The gas all went from the rear to the front tank. Also the truck "skips' every now and then when pulling on a long uphill grade,on either tank and it has just started doing that. Any ideas? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Possibly the in tank filter is clogging up. Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and take readings from both tanks.
