I have a 70 429 Ranchero and it looks like the PO did a botch job on the cross member that is right under the oil pan. It will not allow the engine to sit low enough in the compartment for the hood to close with the aircleaner on.
Does anyone have a picture of what this crossmember and area should look like?
Thanks a ton

I can't help directly with pictures of a 70-71 crossmember but I can suggest that you try posting this question on the Ranchero.US forums.
It's free to join and has a vast wealth of knowledge in its members.
