I'm having issues w/my electric outside mirrors (1991 Lincoln TC)...The heated glass is ok, but the 4 way position switch will only move down (both L&R).

I have pulled the switch & checked the voltage for all 4 positions...both L&R sides...their fine.

On a trip to the 'local yard'...I dismantled a set of mirror to inspect the mirror 'glass' & electrical setup to the mirror motors.

I am wondering if these elec. motors can be fixed or check in some fashion w/digital multimeter w/o a battery source from the salvage yard vehicle...???

I would like to repair mine or check the salvage yard 'donor' mirrors prior to purchase.

I have not check the dealership yet...but I know they would be pricey...figure age & dealership markups...!!!

Thoughts, experiences, photos & links are greatly welcomed...
