Friends,
I have a yaesu 7900R and a Uniden Pro510XL CB (don’t hate) that I want to mount in my car.
I think I’ve found the perfect mount…a Gamber Johnson SM 212 dual radio rack.

This is a transmission hump mount.
Thinking about the resale value of the car, I have sought long and hard for a non invasive way to mount my radios. I have come up with no real solution. Hence, I have decided to drill. My cousin though said I should be careful when drillin on the Transmission hump. What are your thoughts on this?
Here are pictures of the interior of my car….a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis. Do you think that this mount will fit and do you think the radio angles will work?

Now I realize that I might have a problem with the high vertical angle of the radios that I want to achieve.....but my radios are small and thin. The drawer can actually go back another inch and I can still squeze my main coffee cup in there..which is all Im concerned about. I also don\\'t want a geyser of transmission fluid to sprout.
Any help is greatly needed and would be appreciated.
Eric
