So was kind of wondering whether all P71 cars need premium fuel or will they run on regular unleaded. The one I had was a 97 and did not like regular. |

I only run regular. I would not even think to run premium. |

If there is nothing wrong with the car, it is supposed to get regular gas.
If you can't run the car without premium then you have a problem that needs to be fixed.
No Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis/Town Car needs premium fuel until it is tuned for it, the only Panther vehicle that is supposed to use premium is the Marauder. |

I went with higher output coils and had to go with a colder plug because I had a high RPM ping on regular. The colder plug got me going without any issues though. |
