I have a 91 Probe LX that had literally been sitting under a tree for 4 years. It has 130K on the clock, but is tight and seems well taken care of before it was abandoned. I got the car for my wife as she is a new driver. The left front had been in a collision and the fender, bumper cover and hood had to be replaced. I found them all and have gotten it 98% of the way back to how it should be with some frame pulling. A few minor adjustments, (oblong holes), and it should be ready to road test. I have a few questions about the headlight doors I hope someone can guide me on. The linkage for one headlight had a broken plastic cup. Ford says they have them still at $33. Should I go that way, or try wrecking yards? How can I install the linkage with the headlight in the up position? In the down position I am fighting angles and lengths...and there are some gremlins there that bite fingers for sure. The Headlight door is about 1 inch off (too far forward). Is there any adjustments other than the oblong hole route? Where would I find the rubber that goes on the front edge of the door? The only bad thing for me so far is the car was stored with the bolts turned in a few turns and they rusted badly. The fender nuts and bolts seem unusually soft since 50% broke at the first turn and I am able to drill out the stud with a standard drill bit in a few seconds. My only other question at this point is how does the front license attach. I have the bumper cover and there were no brackets. I can see some holes but I am not sure how or where a bracket fits. Oregon requires a front plate so I need that before the road test. Thanks in advance for any assisteance. Chuck and Sol
