I have a 76 ranchero with a 9"and I'm having trouble getting the axles out. There has to be an easy way. I've removed the bolts and normally they just pull out, they won't come. I have a 70 with a 9" and I've pulled them out with no problem many times before but this one no go. The only difference I notice is the 76 has coils and the 70 has leafs. To me that doesn't matter. What's up???

They can be pesky bastads sometimes,If you haven't tried this already. Put a wheel and rim on the studs, use at least 3 lug nuts but don't put em on all the way, then push the wheel down flush and pull back rapidly and firmly , this should break them out of there, in effect this will do the same thing as a slide remover, Good Luck |
