Hi everyone.
I found this site thru a search on technical info regarding the 351-C in my 73 Ranchero.
I bought the car about a month ago from an aging gentleman who could no longer keep it. I was glad to take it off his hands. I had recently lost my 74 lincoln to catastrophic engine failure during a move from Arizona to Florida. I basically gave the mechanic the Lincoln in order to get out of the bills and proceed with my move.
Replacing that Lincoln with this Ranchero really made my day. I finally had another car to wrench on and preserve as best as possible.
So here's a quick question (if I don't get an answer here I'll go look elsewhere): I have the 73 Shop manuals for this car (1-5 not 6). However I cannot find basic information regarding engine specs for the 351-C 2V. Specifically, I need to know the correct spark gap and timing for my application. I can't locate a Haynes manual for this car either. I also have a Ford engine rebuild manual from Haynes which fails to give me what I'm looking for.
If anyone has this information it will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

I had to find my book. It shows .034 for the gap but it wouldn't hurt to run it at .035. Hope this helps, And if you have points they are set and 28 just in case
