Have a 72 ranchero gt with 351c engine that runs good but has an issue which i can't solve. It will die while driving, sputters for a second or two, then dies. I can wait a couple minutes and then it will start up and run again, but may die again just down the road. Don't know if electronic or fuel, but I have checked both. Has Mallory electronic ignition...replaced distributor cap, rotor, box in distributor that takes place of points/condensor. Also replaced fuel pump, fuel filter but looks to have fuel in filter when dies.

Has been happening for past year and no one seems to be able to solve the problem.

Love the car but hate that I am afraid to drive it. NEED HELP!!!!!

I have had the same problem with my wife's mustang. Did you replace the distributor?
